SNORKELING IN HUNDRED ISLANDS
Hundred Islands |
One hundred twenty three that’s the exact number of islands and islets that comprise the Hundred Islands National Park in Alaminos, Pangasinan. Being an ocean lover, I was looking forward to discovering the beauty these islands had to offer. The usual activities — swimming, island hopping and kayaking — are available for guests. But the one thing you should definitely not pass on is snorkeling. The coral reefs that lie in between the islands are home to many underwater species. One of them is the taklobo or giant clam. These large mollusks, some of which weigh up to 200kg and have shells that are over one-meter long, are truly amazing. It’s truly out of this world.
